Just after 9 o’clock two men aged 36 and 43 were at a home on Mount Vincent Road, Mount Vincent, when they became involved in an argument.

Police allege the younger man stabbed the older man in the leg with a knife, before injuring his head as a result of a struggle between the pair.

He then left the scene and the older man contacted police.

Following investigations, this morning, just before 1.30am, a 36-year-old man was arrested at Cessnock Hospital after being treated for a cut to his head and taken to Cessnock Police Station.
