  1. Werris Creek is my home town, and even though it is more than 40 years since I have lived there, I still call it home. Ask just about any ex-Creekian and they will tell you the same thing. I grew up in the ’60’s with fresh air, clean water and lot’s of open space; where curfew was when the street lights came on, everyone knew everyone else, and you ran past the tree’s on Anzac Parade to duck the magpies in September. It was a thriving railway/agricultural town, back then. Today it is a small, declining ‘village”
The attention and interest shown in the town by Ms Jolie has brought the place to life again and given the residents and ex- residents a bit of pride back, as well as show casing what a beautiful area it is.
Ms Jolie, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You. Thank you for choosing our town, but most of all, thank you for reviving and refreshing the people there, in town, and those us who live away from our roots. Thank you for reminding us that we grew up, live/lived in, one of the best places on Earth.
