The benefits of high speed rail on the east coast of Australia are obvious. We need to keep talking about this great infrastructure investment, and find the political will of the people and decision makers to fast track its acceptance and implementation. After attending this excellent information forum I find it hard to fault the superiority and cost effectiveness of the proven Shinkansen system. Ask anyone who has traveled on high speed rail what it is like, and the answer is always the same, “Why don’t we have it here in Australia?”
