The 2013 proposed state redistribution maps were released today by the state electoral commission.
Controversy surrounds the seat of Barwon, with the plans showing it would no longer include the township of Moree, which is the sitting member’s hometown.
“I’d like to keep Moree, obviously in any redistribution being my home area, but again I think there’s a fair bit more water to run under the bridge yet.”
Under the proposed plans, Barwon would also cover 44 per cent of the state.
The redistribution will be finalised by the end of the year.
