HEALTH STUDENTS ON THE FRONT LINE OF PRIMARY CARE
Nursing and Exercise Physiology students from Southern Cross University
spent today on the front line of primary health care.
Working out of a mobile health facility, they were given the opportunity to assess elderly patients from a Ballina Retirement Village.
“The students are getting an experience of going into the facility, seeing people there and going into the community with some workers to see what nursing or clinical exercise physiology might look like there.”
“All the nurses we work with a fully qualified and really good at educating us in a way and they provide good rationale for why they actually do.”
