BYRON’S COOKIE COMPANY A TASTY PROSPECT
Administrators say they’re confident Byron Bay’s financially embattled Cookie Company will be sold.
There have been about 40 inquiries about purchasing the business since it went into voluntary administration earlier this month.
The company owes close to $6-million to unsecured creditors, over $1-million to the Australian Taxation Office and $400,000 in unpaid superannuation.
Since administrators took over 12 full time staff have been laid off but 60 employees remain at the Ewingsdale factory.
Another creditors meeting is scheduled for April
