MOTHERS MILK BANK BACK UP AND RUNNINIG

Fridges at the Mothers Milk Bank at Banora Point are flowing with donated breast milk again after their pasteuriser was repaired.

There had been a critical shortage of treated milk for weeks, forcing many sick and pre-mature babies to go back to formula.

“So many families have contacted me they’re so relieved this week will have milk available for their sick babies, we’ve had feedback that their babies had been struggling.”

Norco engineers fixing the broken machine free of charge.

“They just supply a special service to special people and being in the same milk industry we’re very happy to assist.”

The Mothers Milk Bank is still seeking donations though to purchase a second pasteuriser.
