A local youth worker is calling on the Byron Bay community, to unite to stop fast food giant KFC opening an outlet in town.
It comes as a development application for the proposed store went on public display today.
“We’re certainly looking for volunteers to staff some information stalls or also take around some petitions. We’re also looking for local businesses who might put petitions inside their businesses”

I think they should have KFC as there is really no eatery in town that specialises in Chicken products even though we had a chicken farm. People should not feel threatened as they have subway and other stores from outside the region. KFC only attracts those those who are into cooked chicken products. And other food eateries should not think that they are so called local are really out of towners that travel into the bay to operate their businesses.
