NEWCASTLE PROPERTY DEVELOPERS SAY RAIL LINE DECISION WILL TRIGGER WAVE OF DEVELOPMENT
Local property developers have welcomed the decision to cut Newcastle’s rail line, claiming it will trigger a much-needed wave of new development.

OF COURSE developers are happy, as that what this is all about, a land grab by greedy developers.
But if they think the fight is over, they are mistaken.
Why can’t the line go underground from wickham like a subway they have them everywhere even Sydney. Then everybody is happy, it’s only money I think Newcastle is worth it. Think of the big picture ,Newcastle needs this the foreshore can be opened up without losing the rail line
What land?? It is a skinny railway corridor.
Why can’t the government use the same light rail that is going to be implemented in Sydney? That way, Both cities would be operating under the same standardised infrastructure.
