WEATHER UPDATE: EL NINO TURN AROUND

There has been an unprecedented turn around with the developing El Nino.

Since observations began on these events in 1950 never before have climatologists seen a developing El Nino turn back towards a neutral phase so quickly.

In simple terms this means we should move back towards a summer that produces average rain. Very much needed after what has been an incredibly dry Spring.

A weak southerly change will be moving up the coast tomorrow Friday the 26th.

Remaining very warm ahead of the change that should produce a few storms around Grafton, Coffs and Lismore in the afternoon.

Across the weekend a stronger southerly will move up the coast increasing wind speeds while making for a cooler weekend for all with shower activity once again being minimal.
Little to no rain expected inland.

FEATURED WEATHER SHOT

Sandy Fennell posted this shot earlier in the week from Mondays southerly producing 90km hours across Lake Macquarie which caused locals to try and surf the Lake. Another gusty southerly will move through on the weekend.
