RURAL POLICE AWARDED FOR TRACKING DOWN NADEN

11 rural crime investigators have been recognised for their role in tracking down one of Australia’s most wanted men, Malcolm Naden.

Strike Force Durkin was formed in June 2005 to investigate the murder of Dubbo woman Kristy Scholes and disappearance of Lateesha Nolan.

In March this year, police arrested Naden on private property near Gloucester.

He’s now facing a string of charges.

The 11 officers were also praised for gaining the confidence of the area’s property owners.
