ELECTION DAY FOR LOCAL COUNCILS

A steady stream of voters packed polling venues across the region today, for the local government elections.
All but three councils on the mid north coast will vote for a popularly elected mayor, while the new councillors for the Grafton, Great Lakes and Gloucester local government areas will select a candidate for the top job.
