KEMPSEY CRASH CLOSES HIGHWAY

Traffic was at a standstill along the Pacific Highway for almost an hour this morning, as emergency crews worked to free the driver of a vehicle at Kempsey.
The 66 year-old man was heading south, when he lost control of his Jeep, which then rolled onto its roof.
The man suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
He remains in a stable condition.
