August 17, 2012 at 3:44 pm
Bellingen swimming product Michael Anderson will compete in four events at his second Paralympic Games in London.
Anderson – who attended Bellingen High School – suffers hearing impairment and nerve damage to his legs as a result of meningitis.
The 25-year-old has an impressive international record, winning a silver medal at the Beijing Paralympics in the 100 metres backstroke.
Then in 2009 he became the first Paralympic swimmer to swim under one minute in the same event.
In London he’ll compete in the 100 and 200 metre freestyle and backstroke events.
