HITTING THE PAVEMENT FOR THE HOMELESS
August 5, 2012 at 5:32 pm
A walkathon to raise awareness of homelessness has seen over 200 people hit the pavement, including Celebrity Apprentice winner Ian Dickson.
The event couldn’t have come at a better time, with the number of people sleeping on Central Coast streets doubling in the past year.

My 10 yr old Bailey Ryan, the youngest to walk the event completed the 23kms with a ligament injury limping the last 5kms but refused to quit. Thanks to St John Ambulance for giving him a liniment rub near the end and for strapping up his leg at the finish line.
What an amazing day, thank you to all the volunteers, participants and the community for making this a wonderful day…the sun shone, the beach rolled in, and Dicko made it whooo hooooo.
What a great day! a big thanks to all the volunteers, such a well organised event and a special thanks to Lisa Scott & kylie Skinner for putting in so much time and effort to make the walk so sucessful! such a fun day, cant wait for next year.
For a great cause!! I’ve learned a lot from Robert Holt at the wayside, so with people like Robert & Elissa, we can all help people in some way or another.
Bring on next year but I wont be wearing a morphysuit next time around.
