POWER FAILURE BLACKS OUT PARTS OF NEWCASTLE

Parts of Newcastle were blacked out by a power failure on Monday night.
Ausgrid said it was working to restore power in the suburbs of The Hill, Cooks Hill, and Bar Beach as well as parts of Inner Newcastle.
A recorded message from Ausgrid around 7pm said the cause of the blackout was unknown, but hoped it could be rectified soon.
