WOMAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER BEING HIT BY CAR

A 37 year old woman from Fletcher remains in a critical condition in the John Hunter hospital after being hit by a car in Maryland overnight.
Police say the woman was walking west on Minmi road, when a 4WD station wagon ploughed into her.
The driver, a 53 year old man also from Fletcher, has not been charged by police.
