Wildoats 11 has smashed, a 13 year old record to take line honours in the 384 nautical mile Sydney to Gold Coast Yacht race.
The super maxi crossed the line this morning after 22 hours, three minutes and 46 seconds at sea, beating Brindabella’s benchmark in 1999 by nearly five hours.
The 100 foot yacht left the 63 boat flotilla in her wake, with Queensland’s Black Jack in second.
