SUPPORT GROWS FOR ROAD CHANGE
July 23, 2012 at 5:20 pm
Member for Gosford Chris Holstein has thrown his support behind locals concerned over a dangerous intersection in Kariong.
He’s offered to take their pleas for a round about to parliament to ensure action is taken, before it’s too late.

I would like to see traffic lights not a round about, think of the kids trying to cross the road on their own. Also its difficult to turn from the playground back into Langford rd.
We agree Amy. The actual quote was something along the lines of” I’m not here to solve the issue, just to raise awareness of the need to gain funding. The community have overwhelmingly requested a signalised intersection, but a roundabout may well equally solve that problem…” We did talk in detail about the need for pedestrian safety but unfortunately we can’t edit to show the true picture. Oh well – that’s media for you!

You say-”I’m not here to solve the issue”….but then go on “but a round about may well equally solve that problem”….riiiiiiiiiiight!
As I said kath – it was only something like that ….regardless of anyone’s opinion or requests, if anything does happen it will be determined by the experts. You are very welcome to come along to a meeting and have your say and give us a hand.
