MAN CHARGED OVER COOMBA PARK FATAL

Police have charged a 65-year-old man from the Netherlands over a car crash at Coomba Park last month, which killed 89-year-old Sydney man Willem Veenstra.
At around 1.30pm on June 23, a car carrying five people collided with another vehicle on Burraneer Road.
Mr Veenstra died at the scene, while three elderly women were taken to John Hunter Hospital with various injuries.
A 65-year-old man has been charged with negligent driving causing death and two counts of negligent driving causing grevious bodily harm.
He’s been granted bail and is due to face Taree Local Court next Tuesday.
