WOMAN INDECENTLY ASSAULTED AT RETIREMENT VILLAGE

An elderly woman was indecently assaulted and attacked in her unit at a retirement village in Jewells on Saturday afternoon.
Police have described the attack as sickening after a man rang her doorbell asked her for directions, before pushing her to the ground and indecently assaulted her.
She managed to scratch the man’s face before a neighbour heard her screams, causing the man to run off.
The woman suffered cuts and bruising.
The man has been described as in his 20s with slightly tanned skin, short black hair and of stocky build.
He was unshaven and wearing a blue jumper and dark pants.
