The Jets have managed to get a Hunter-bred player back in the fold – signing Josh Mitchell for two years.
The 28-year-old defender impressed during the trial against Broadmeadow – he returns to Newcastle from stints in Romania and Perth.
Meanwhile, Jets striker Adam Taggart will miss the Asian Confederation’s under-22 qualifying tournament in Indonesia next week, after sustaining an injury during last night’s victory.
