WEATHER UPDATE: COLD BLAST CLOSING IN
June 20, 2012 at 4:28 pm
It has been incredibly cold at night due to the big high over us and all the cold air has been falling producing some amazing frosts right across the Tablelands.
The amazing part of the story is that this is all going to look quite balmy in comparison to next week.
Polar rotation is in high gear and a serious blast of cold air is coming, the coldest of the year so far.
There is a big front coming through. On Friday it won’t be too bad, but there will be a good dump of snow across the ski resorts of New South Wales and New Zealand.
We are going to see some extremely cold nights during the early part of next week and farmers should be warned the frosts could be quite severe.

There is also the potential for snow on The Barringtons and towards Walcha, Armidale and Guyra.
Get ready for some icy cold temperatures, the coldest of the year on the way from Friday and continuing across the weekend.
