TEENAGERS ARRESTED AFTER POLICE PURSUIT THROUGH THE CENTRAL HUNTER

Police have arrested three teenagers following a number of pursuits with a stolen car in the Central Hunter area this morning.
Officers began pursuing a stolen white Ford Falcon station Wagon in Sandy Hollow, before it was again spotted and pursued along the Golden Highway at Jerrys Plains at around 8 o’clock.

At 8:35 the Ford stopped at a petrol station in Greta where the occpants filled the car with petrol and drove off without paying.
The Highway Patrol officers deployed road spikes in the Neath area.
The three occupants ran into nearby bushland after dumping the car on Frobes Street at Abermain.
Police searched the area using Polair, the dog squad and local police to find the teenagers.

The teens might have been caught but all they will probably get is a slap on the wrist and a good behaviour bond,its just not on…its about time to get tough with young offenders.
I think these young people know they get away with things too easily and need to have the law tougher on them, or they will never learn.
