GUN DEATH APPARENT ACCIDENT

A man has died from a gunshot wound in an apparent farming accident at Sandy Hollow, in the upper Hunter.
The body of the man, aged in his 50s, was found still holding a firearm, and tangled in a barbed wire fence.
The discovery was made mid-morning by a worker on the Byerley Stud.
Detectives are investigating.
