Over 200 fed up residents in Gosford have rallied against the sea rise level policies adopted by local councils.
They claim they’ve seen their property values decrease and flood insurance levels rise as a result of the measures.

Gosford Council have sold out 9000 families by adopting an alarmist position on sea level rise, the IPCC computer predictions are based on global average data. Sea level rise measured by government agencies at Fort Denison have recorded rises of less than 1mm per year over the last 100 years and of less than 0.4mm per year over the last 20 years, yet Gosford Council have swallowed a prediction of 10mm per year which is 10 – 20 times the observed increase ???. The result – 9000 property values affected and insurance increases of $3000 a year common. Gosford Council need to rethink their position or face a class action from residents.
I will throw my support behind a class action should it come to that. Gosford Council councillors & beaurocrats are not listening to the residents at all & its time to replace them with people whom want to “serve & listen” to the concerns of their local residents.
Am I the only one that is really getting fed up with TV stations not keeping to their time schedule. Especially if the show has been pre recorded. eg The voice was suppose to finish at 10.30 tonight and it ran overtime by 20 min. Running overtime seems to the norm for all the commercial stations lately. Even checking with the appropriate website does not help. I have written, emailed and phoned the station but I have never had a reply yet.
