Two young Newcastle women have parted with their ponytails in the name of charity.
Shannon Clancey and Elizabeth Ansty decided to lop their locks for the World Greatest Shave today, a fundraiser which supports leukaemia research.
Within minutes both girls were ready to ditch their hair straightener and show off their new look.
