Six weeks after the last fig fell in Laman Street, Newcastle Council has revealed its concept design for the area.
It’s budgeted $1.8-million to plant 12 new hills figs, slightly less than what it spent cutting the original trees down.

Well, that wasn’t a waste of money…..much !
Abit over 2 Million to get rid of the original majestic Figs and a bit less than 2 Million to re-create the same…………but a smaller version, that will get just as big !
