PEDESTRIAN DIES AT BELLINGEN

A 32-year-old female pedestrian has died after being struck by a four wheel drive at Bellingen, on the mid north coast.
Police say the woman was walking along Waterfall Way on the outskirts of town, at around eight last night, when she was hit by the vehicle, which then failed to stop.
Emergency services attended the scene, but she couldn’t be revived.
A 45-year-old man later attended Coffs Harbour police station, and is assisting officers with their inquiries.
Any witnesses to the incident are being urged to contact police.
