COMETS STILL SCRAMBLING FOR HOME GROUND
June 14, 2011 at 6:21 pm
In Group Two Rugby League, the Coffs Harbour Comets is still struggling to secure a playing ground for its home clash with Port Macquarie this weekend.
The club was forced from Advocate Park at the end of May, with the persistent rain deteriorating its playing surface.
The club’s committee is now in the process of trying to secure funding from Coffs Harbour City Council, for improved drainage at the venue.
In the meantime it’s looking at moving matches to the International Stadium and Rugby Park.
