Water spouts resembling mini tornados have been spotted off Avoca Beach, generated by a passing thunderstorm.
Flash flooding has also wreaked havoc on the region’s roads, with Racecourse Road and the Central Coast highway the worst affected.
In sport, former NRL star Jamie Feeney has made a comeback in the Central Coast rugby league competition.
The Erina Eagles coach pulled on the boots in his side’s 50 to 12 win over Toukley yesterday.
And the Sydney Kings have signed US athlete Alex Gynes to a one-year deal.
He scored 23 points in the Central Coast Crusaders’ win over Maitland at the weekend.
