STEAMFEST A SUCCESS

Final figures are still being counted but organisers say Streamfest has again proven to be one of the region’s biggest events.
A near record 70-thousand people turned out to see the historic steam locos and engine displays.
It’s hoped the success will convince the state government to help fund next year’s festival.
“Yeah i think there’s definitely opportunities to expand the event but obviously there’s only so much you can do with limited funds”
