PODIUM FINISH FOR HUNTER PITT COFFS CREW
January 5, 2011 at 2:09 pm
The last of the Hunter’s seven boats has completed the Pittwater to Coffs yacht race.
And there was an unexpected result in the handicap division, with Close Halled from the Lake Macquarie Yacht Club finishing third, in a time of just over 28 hours.
Skipper Graeme Halled says they’re
“Absolutely over the moon, the boat’s only 12 months old and it’s our first Coffs and to podium we’re very very excited.”
The all-amateur crew says it’s keen to come back and try to improve on the result next year.
