FORSTER-TUNCURRY TOO GOOD FOR TAREE CITY
August 1, 2010 at 2:33 pm
In Group 3 rugby league, there were no surprises this weekend.
Wauchope Blues were too strong for Camden Haven, Wingham were comfortable winners over Old Bar and Forster-Tuncurry downed Taree City.
Predictably the Hawks, who are in second spot on the ladder behind Port City, were impressive against Taree’s Bulls in a match which saw 70 points notched up on the scoreboard.
It was a close-fought encounter with the Hawks stretching their two-point lead in the dying minutes, with a cross field kick resulting in another four-pointer.
