February 14, 2009 at 5:01 pm
Inverell rugby league club, the Hawkes, have created a some logistical headaches by electing to play their Group 19 matches on Saturdays instead of Sundays this year.
The town’s Aussie Rules side, the Saints, also scheduled Saturday games at Inverell’s Varley Oval, leading to a number of clashes.
Officials from both clubs are now sitting down to discuss they’re draws.
With new lights at the oval, the possibility of Friday night or Sunday afternoon games hasn’t been ruled out.
