31-YEAR-OLD WOMAN MISSING FROM COOLANGATTA

Assistance is being sought from the public to help locate a woman missing from Coolangatta. 31-year-old Alyse Cameron arrived at Coolangatta Airport from Melbourne at around 6pm on Monday. Her family notified authorities after she failed to board a bus to Byron Bay. Alyse is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of slim build with blonde hair.

POLICE BELIEVE WHITE SEDAN MAY HAVE BEEN USED IN CASINO ROBBERY

Police have released images of a vehicle they believe may have been involved in an armed robbery at a licenced club in Casino late last year. Just after 9pm on Sunday November 11th, two employees of the West Street club were leaving after closing when they were confronted by five men armed with a machete and iron bars. The two male employees were allegedly forced to the ground and assaulted, before having their personal items stolen. The five men then fled the scene in a vehicle. Police have now released images of a car they believe may have been used as part of incident. It’s been described as a white four-door sedan with damage to the front passenger-side indicator. Anyone with information about the car or the armed robbery is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

PAWS-ITIVE OUTCOME FOR LOST LISMORE FELINE

A cunning cat burglar and its overjoyed owner will soon be reunited, nearly a year after the much-loved feline went missing. Tahma Collopy’s pet ‘Leelo’ disappeared when floodwater swept through Lismore last march. Then late last week, Leelo broke into Lismore Police Station, much to the amusement of officers. Hoping somebody might recognise her, they then posted a photo on Facebook. Ms Collopy, who now lives in Armidale, saw that post and is now making her way back to Lismore, to pickup the cat from a friend.

TWO ALLEGEDLY DISCOVERED HAVING SEX ON A FAR NORTH COAST BEACH

Two men have been issued criminal infringement notices after police allegedly discovered the pair engaged in a sex act on a beach on the far north coast. Police were conducting high visibility patrols of Tweed-Byron beaches on Friday afternoon, when they allegedly saw the two naked men engaged in a sex act, about 400 metres outside the designated clothing optional area. The two men, aged 27 and 57, were issued criminal infringement notices for offensive behaviour. Police say they will continue to patrol local beaches and nearby bushland in response to community concerns about illegal nude bathing and lewd behaviour. Tyagarah beach near Byron Bay is the only current legal nude bathing beach in the region.

Each has passed their learners test and is now learning how to drive, thanks to the men and women in blue.
