MOTORCYCLIST IN A SERIOUS CONDITION AFTER CRASHING INTO PARKED CAR

A man has been admitted to hospital with life-threatening injuries, after a serious motorcycle crash on the Gold Coast. Shortly after midday, the 31-year-old motorcycle rider crashed into the rear of a parked car on Armstrong Way in Highland Park. The rider was taken to hospital with critical injuries. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact police.

DRIVER FORCES VEHICLES OFF ROAD IN GOLD COAST PURSUIT

A driver has allegedly attempted to force police cars off the road in a high speed incident near the Gold Coast today. Around midday, police say a speeding motorist was forcing other vehicles off the road on the M1 between Ormeau and Gaven. The driver also allegedly attempted to force a number of responding police vehicles off the road. The pursuit ended when vehicle ran out of petrol at Gaven. The driver, believed to be in his 30’s, then allegedly assaulted two police officers and attempted to steal a police vehicle, before being detained. He remains in police custody. Two police officers are receiving treatment for minor injuries.

OWNERS OF STOLEN PROPERTY SOUGHT

Police are looking for the owners of stolen property recovered in south east Queensland last week. Power tools, tool boxes, spanner sets, water-blasters, and other trade equipment are among the items recovered during the search warrant that was executed on April 7. PUBLIC ASSISTANCE SOUGHT OVER MISSING GOLD COAST WOMAN

A woman with a medical condition has been reported missing near the Gold Coast. Debby Allanson was last seen at an address on River Hills Road in Eagleby at around 12:15am this morning and has not been seen since. Ms Allanson is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 164cm tall, of a medium build with dark brown, shoulder length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt with a yellow emblem, black trousers and black thongs. Concerns are held for her welfare as she has a medical condition.

SHOTS FIRED DURING CONFRONTATION IN GOLD COAST SUBURB

A shotgun has been fired during a confrontation between two groups of people on the Gold Coast overnight. Around 1.15am, a vehicle arrived at an address on Renfrew Drive in Highland Park while a gathering was taking place at the property. Police say one of the people in the car went around to the backyard of the house and fired three rounds. No one was injured as a result of the gunshots, however two men sustained minor injuries after confronting the occupants of the vehicle. They were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment. The car, described as a a Ford Focus or similar vehicle, fled the scene. 35-YEAR-OLD FACES GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM CHARGES

A man has been hospitalised with two puncture wounds to his chest after an incident on the Gold Coast this morning. Police say that a 34-year-old male sustained the injuries at an apartment building on the Gold Coast Highway in Broadbeach, around 7am. The victim was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital. The injuries are non-life threatening. A short time later, a 35-year-old man was taken into custody in Helensvale. The man, from Geebung, was charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

15-YEAR-OLD MISSING ON THE GOLD COAST

Assistance from the public is sought over a missing Gold Coast teenager. 15-year-old Jennifer has been missing from Nerang since Tuesday this week. Concerns are held for her welfare because she has not contacted friends or family. She was last seen wearing a black 3/4 sleeve jacket with numerous pockets, a t-shirt, a black skirt and black and white trainers. Jennifer is described as 172cm tall, around 55kgs, slim build, Caucasian in appearance, with dark brown long hair.

CCTV IMAGES RELEASED AS POLICE INVESTIGATE $15,000 WORTH OF STOLEN PRAMS

Police have released two CCTV images of people they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries into a series of high-end pram thefts at a store in Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast. According to police, the pair have a pattern to their crimes. The woman enters the store and distracts staff, while the man steals a pram. The latest incident occurred around 2.30pm on March 27. The store has reported at least five similar offences since August, with the pair allegedly stealing approximately $15,000 worth of prams.

MAN ARMED WITH FIREARM ALLEGEDLY CONFRONTS GOLD COAST TOW TRUCK DRIVERS

Two tow truck drivers attempting to move an illegally parked vehicle have allegedly been confronted by a man brandishing a firearm on the Gold Coast. Around 10pm last night, the two truck drivers, a 29-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, attended a unit complex on Varsity Parade in Varsity Lakes. While attempting to remove an illegally parked vehicle, the tow truck operators were allegedly confronted by two men, one armed with a firearm, demanding they leave the vehicle alone. The tow truck operators fled the scene, and police were notified. When they arrived, police found two men allegedly attempting to remove a wheel clamp from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered three replica firearms. A 49-year-old man from Varsity Lakes has been charged over the incident, and is scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.

TWO TEENS FACE CHARGES OVER ALLEGED GOLD COAST STABBING

Charges have been laid after man, that interrupted three people allegedly breaking into cars, was stabbed on the Gold Coast. Police say that around 4am on Wednesday, the 45-year-old was on Monterey Keys and Lake Shore Drives in Helensvale, when he came upon the group. After chasing them, a fight broke out, where he received a wound to his throat. Two of the group members fled, but a 15-year-old girl was detained by the man at the scene. Police later charged a 17-year-old Southport man with four counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence. A 15-year-old boy has also been charged over the alleged wounding of the 45-year-old man. The victim was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
