MAN DIES IN CENTRAL COAST CRASH

A 24-year-old mas has died after his ute left the road and crashed on the Central Coast. Emergency services were called to McDonagh Road at Wyong around 3am, after debris was found on the road leading to the discovery of a Toyota Hilux in nearby bushland. The driver was airlifted to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital, but died on arrival. Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES LAID OVER CENTRAL COAST FATAL

Additional charges have been laid against a 25-year-old man, who allegedly left the scene of a fatal accident on the Central Coast last month. A 46-year-old man was killed in the March 9 crash, which involved a truck and two utes on the M1 at Mount White. It’s alleged the 25-year-old man, who was driving one of the utes left the scene. Following ongoing inquiries additional charges were laid against the man on Thursday, including manslaughter and driving a vehicle with illicit drug present.

GAV’S WEATHER: WET WEATHER SET TO INCREASE

Once again there is very little cloud across the nation. The trough over New South Wales has been producing some cloud, with showers and storms a chance to develop this afternoon. There will be isolated showers along the Queensland and New South Wales coast tomorrow, with the trough lines producing more rain in the form of showers and storms. This system may turn into a East Coast Low next week. It will remain mostly fine inland, while the trough deepens closer to the coast potentially forming a low.
