POSCO RETURNS TO THE COAST

The Central Coast Mariners have announced they’ve signed Jacob Poscoliero until at least the end of the Hyundai A-League 2017/18 season. He returns to the club after a short stint at Perth Glory. The 27 year old made 47 appearances for the yellow and navy between¬†2014 and 2017. Poscoliero could be rushed into the squad for Sunday’s home game against Western Sydney Wanderers after his transfer was confirmed today.

REIGNING CHAMP DIMI HEADS TO VICTORIA

Central Coast golfer Dimi Papadatos will look to defend his Victorian Open title when the tournament gets underway tomorrow. The 26-year-old claimed a two-stroke victory last year…later crowned the Australasian Player of the Year. This year’s prize money is set at $1.3-million, with 144 players in the mix, teeing off just before 8am. (no audio)

LOCAL SURFERS BATTLE IT OUT AT BURLEIGH PRO

To the water, and Central Coast surfers faced heavy competition in today’s Burleigh Pro on the Gold Coast. Kira-Belle Olsson put on a strong performance in her quarter-final, cruising through with a score of 15. She brought the same energy to the semis, but lost out to rival Kobie Enright – 16.85 to 16.75. In the men’s event, Ryan Slattery impressed the judges early, scoring a 10.9, but was unable to land a spot in the finals. Meanwhile, Saxon Lumsden made a promising start with his combination, managing a score of 9.4. (no audio)
