DRUGS AND AMMUNITION LOCATED IN CENTRAL COAST POLICE SEARCH

Police have uncovered drugs, weapons, ammunition and over $3,000 in cash during a vehicle search on the Central Coast. Officers stopped an Audi on Sparks Road at Hamlyn Terrace around 7pm last night, after an attempt to avoid a random breath test. It’s alleged the 43-year-old driver failed a random drug test and was placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered ice, cocaine, steroids, a baton and several rounds of ammunition. The man was charged with a raft of offences including driving whilst disqualified. He was refused bail and will face court today.

MAN DIES IN CENTRAL COAST CRASH

A 24-year-old mas has died after his ute left the road and crashed on the Central Coast. Emergency services were called to McDonagh Road at Wyong around 3am, after debris was found on the road leading to the discovery of a Toyota Hilux in nearby bushland. The driver was airlifted to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital, but died on arrival. Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING FATAL CRASH

Police have laid additional charges following last month’s horror crash at Mount White. Two utilities and a Pantech truck collided on the M1 on March 9. The 46-year-old male driver of one of the utes was killed, while the driver of the second ute allegedly fled the scene. Following ongoing inquiries additional charges were laid against the 25-year-old, including manslaughter and driving a vehicle with illicit drug present. He’ll face court again on April 27.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES LAID OVER CENTRAL COAST FATAL

Additional charges have been laid against a 25-year-old man, who allegedly left the scene of a fatal accident on the Central Coast last month. A 46-year-old man was killed in the March 9 crash, which involved a truck and two utes on the M1 at Mount White. It’s alleged the 25-year-old man, who was driving one of the utes left the scene. Following ongoing inquiries additional charges were laid against the man on Thursday, including manslaughter and driving a vehicle with illicit drug present.
