DESIGN WORK FOR COFFS BYPASS ABOUT TO BEGIN

Construction work on a Coffs Harbour Bypass to the west of the city is a step closer to getting underway. Engineering firm Arup Australia has been selected to undertake an environmental impact study and create a concept design for the $1 billion project. Federal MP Luke Hartsuyker is confident major earth works will begin within the next four years. “It’s clearly some years away but it’s important that we get it started just as quickly as possible,” Mr Hartsuyker said. Last month, the project was listed as nationally significant by Infrastructure Australia. (PART AUDIO ONLY)

NSW WINS SENIORS CRICKET CLASH AGAINST QLD IN COFFS

New South Wales has retained the Finlay Cooper Cup in Seniors Cricket by the narrowest of margins. The Blues defeating Queensland 8 games to 6 over the two day carnival, held in Coffs Harbour for the first time. The Maroons still lead the interstate series 5 tournaments to 4. The two states each fielded seven teams. Next year the carnival returns to Brisbane but Coffs Harbour is expected to host again in 20-18. (VISION ONLY)

MISSING QUEENSLAND GIRL LAST SEEN IN GRAFTON

Concerns are growing for the safety of missing Sunshine Coast girl Aimee Bullus, who was last seen in Grafton in early February. Police say the 17 year old suffers from a medical condition and has failed to contact family and friends, which is out of character. In her last activity on social media a month ago, Aimee said she and a 20 year old man called Jesse intended travelling to Sydney.
