BOY STABLE AFTER SNAKE BITE

A 12-year-old boy is in a stable condition after being bitten by a snake at Stockton near Newcastle.

It’s understood the boy was near the breakwall when he was bitten, and has been treated by paramedics along with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter’s clinical team.

He’s being taken by road to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.
