CHARGES LAID OVER STRING OF BREAK AND ENTERS ACROSS NEWCASTLE AND LAKE MACQUARIE

A man has been charged in relation to a string of alleged aggravated break and enters across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

Following an ongoing investigation, police stopped a vehicle on Hunter Street at Newcastle, around lunchtime on Friday, arresting a 40-year-old man and taking him to a home on Prince Street at Waratah.

Officers then executed a search warrant at the property, allegedly locating clothing and tools used during the offences, as well as stolen laptops and steroids.

The 40-year-old was charged with multiple offences including five counts of aggravated break and enter in company.

He was refused bail to appear in Newcastle Local Court today.
