MAGPIES KICK OFF IN SUPPORT OF MENTAL HEALTH

The Tamworth Rugby Club will join forces with Headspace tomorrow to raise awareness about mental illness in the sporting community.

Player’s jerseys will be auctioned off, with all funds going to the cause.

“This isn’t a one off thing, they’ve been really amazing at supporting us and not only getting the name of headspace out there, but it really is about reducing the stigma around mental illness. It can affect anyone, you know, and I think that it normalises things greatly that you can be a sports person and touched by mental health in some way,” Josie Hoffman, Headspace Tamworth.

The day will kick-off at 12pm.
