PAIR CHARGED OVER WAUCHOPE ASSAULT

Two 18-year-old women have been charged, after they allegedly robbed and assaulted a man at Wauchope last week.

It’s alleged the pair were part of a group who entered a licensed premises on the Oxley Highway on Wednesday, threatening and assaulting a 28-year-old man as well as demanding cash and other items.

The two women were arrested at Port Macquarie Police Station on Monday afternoon.

Both were charged with robbery in company and will face court next month.
