TWO MEN CHARGED FOLLOWING SEPARATE RAIDS

Police have arrested and charged a 32-year-old man with serious drug offences, after allegedly seizing more than 700 MDMA tablets from a Goonellabah home.

“We’re talking about, what we’ll allege to be the upper end of drug supply in this area.”

Detectives say they also found ice and other drug implements during the search, conducted earlier today.

As that search was happening, officers were also working to return a large quantity of property stolen from homes across the region.

The haul was allegedly uncovered yesterday morning, when they raided a Gungas Road property.

Police estimate onselling the goods may have netted around $10,000.

“We would like to hear from anyone, that has any information about stolen property and in particular, the selling of stolen property on sites like gumtree, ecetera.”

“If it’s probably too good to be true, it’s probably not true.”

A 47-year-old Nimbin man has been arrested and charged.
