UNDER 15 GIRLS DOMINATE AT JUNIOR COUNTRY RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Central North under 15 girls have returned home victorious after the Junior Country Rugby Champhionships on the Central Coast.

It was the first time the event saw the under 15s involved…

The Central North side dominating the competition, leaving undefeated.

“There’s great opportunities in women’s rugby as we’ve seen in the National sevens that performed so well and I think that’s where the interest has come from,” Mick Merilino, Junior Country Rugby Union President.

The open boys side fought through to the grand final, but were brought down by Hunter 32 points to 5.
