MAN CHARGED OVER HEAD ON CRASH
A 48-year-old man has been charged following a head-on collision on Scott Road in Tamworth late last month.
Police allege the man was driving a Nissan X-Trail whilst his licence was suspended.
He’s also facing charges of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
The 65-year-old female driver of the white hatchback remains in hospital.
“The unfortunate victim is still in hospital with serious injuries, lots of broken bones and internal damage and we hope that she will come through fine, she’s certainly in a lot better condition than she was a week ago,” Chief Inspector Jeff Budd.
The man has been granted conditional bail to front court next month.
