A 16-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly intimidating the public and possessing prohibited drugs near Nimbin on the New South Wales north coast.
Police will allege that the boy was driving while suspended on Monday, when he pulled the vehicle over in a lane way, then started screaming and acting suspiciously.
Two bystanders tried to help the teenager but he allegedly produced a taser and chased the couple down the street.
Officers from Richmond Police district were called, and arrested the boy.
Police searched the vehicle and allegedly found a taser and a small amount of drugs believed to be methylamphetamine and cannabis
The boy was charged with a string of offences including armed with intent, posses a prohibited weapon, supply prohibited drugs.
He was given conditional bail at Lismore Police Station to appear before children’s court in June.
