MOTORCYCLIST KILLED NEAR CASINO

One man is dead following ahorrific accident outside Casino, early this morning.

Several motorcyclists from Queensland were riding along the Summerland Way near Leeville, when police say a ute travelling in the opposite direction, struck part of their convoy.

“Unfortunately the rider of one of the motorcycles, who is aged in his 30’s, passed away at the scene, after his fellow riders performed some CPR on him.”

“There was about eight of them, that were riding in close, and we were very very lucky that it was only two motorbikes that were involved in the collision.”

Another man in his 40’s was taken to Lismore Base Hospital, and was later discharged.

The driver has undergone mandatory blood and urine testing.
